Iain Sharp
Iain Sharp is a maker and circuit bender with a particular interest in changing the consumers relationship to computers and video. Past work has included clothing with integrated displays and a real-life version of the classic video game Lunar Lander.
For Bent festival Iain will tearing-up the video rule book to introduce the excitement of live performance. Using mostly analog equipment he will produce effects without laptops or pre-recorded clips. The techniques hark-back to the earliest experiments in electonic video manipulation and echo classic systems like the Rutt-Etra video synthesizer. The results have been described as "like a webcam from outer space".
