Beford Series
Artwork

My bent-scanner series is created through a stream of light information that is reinterpreted through a corrupted scanner. It is a method to create imagery that shows the beauty between glitch and art.

Bio:
Grayson Bagwell’s work combines his two passions: printmaking and electronic exploration. His interest in technology began at a young age through deconstructing household electronics and exploring computer systems. This embedded an instinctual comprehension of technical systems and a need for experimentation that has followed him throughout his journey as an artist. His admiration for technical processes led him to printmaking. During his academic career at Pratt Institute, Bagwell began searching for a new way to approach these processes of creating images, at which time he began to apply his understanding of electronics to the visual applications of print.
