bio:
Burnkit2600 combine every new technical and cutting edge method at their fingertips to create heavy, funky psychedelic grooves with a live rock trio essence. Often experimenting with different genres, the group’s latest project, code-named “Duke Dubious,” is a sizzling form of retro instrumental dub music in the vein of King Tubby or Lee Scratch Perry by way of Aphex Twin. The group does this with vintage analog gear, old video game hardware, bass guitar, flute and instruments of their own design. Their website burnkit2600.com delivers lots of info to folks who want to get started in geeky projects like circuit bending and chiptune. In fact, band member Thomas Uliasz won first place in the Moog Music Festival national circuit bending competition in 2010.
